Thursday morning our group left for the Honolulu airport at 7:00am. At around 10:00 we boarded a Korean Airlines flight to Seoul, South Korea, which took about 10 ½ hours. During this flight we were served two delicious meals and I watched five movies…2 good and 3 bad.
Upon arriving in South Korea, we went back through security and waited about two hours for ours next flight, which would last a little over 5 hours.
Overall, Korean Air was impressive. The flight attendants were professional and beautiful, the food was good, and the selection of entertainment was nice. On top of that, they gave us slippers to wear on the plane and a pashmina blanket to make us comfortable.
Even with the amazing flight, it felt amazing to arrive in Bangkok. Crossing the International Date Line was strange; we left Hawaii on Thursday morning and arrived in Thailand on Friday night. Even though I understand how the date line works, crossing over is a strange thing in practice. It is like we were traveling for a day and a half!
So on the way back, do you get to Chicago before you leave Bangkok?
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed weird on the way there but I found it even weirder to be back in the US before I'd left.
