It is common in Thailand to see people serving and drinking beverages from a plastic bag with a straw, as it is an easy and mobile way to drink. In addition, plastic bag hangers are used to help people carry beverages served in cups, as indicated in this picture of a sweet Thai iced tea.
The wide range of beverage types is also initially surprising, although most taste very good!
